It’s that time of year again when your searching for that special time piece. You don’t necessarily need to break the bank to find a stylish high quality wrist investment. I’ve done my fair share of research and reviews to be able to show you some hidden gems that you can buy for under $500! The Eco-Drive Nighthawk is second to none in this price range, and originally retailed near $500, it is now available for well under $500 and can potentially be one of the best watch buys for the price.
This watch is serious looking, and performing. It has a really well finished black ion plated stainless steel case, and a mineral glass crystal face. I love the look and placement of the buttons, there very easy to use do not interfere with any wrist movements. This watch is at the top of my list for a variety of reasons, but what really makes it stand out is it’s eco-drive system that works to convert light into energy.
Bulova “Precisionist”
Coming in at originally $800, this may be the best value pick on the list, as you can now buy it well under $500! This is a very classy watch, and as the name suggests it keeps the time as precisely as possible, accurate to within seconds on the year to be exact. This watch comes in a stainless steel casing, with a curved crystal window.
The face is wisely laid out in an easy to interpret format, with four sub-dials to display a synchronized time in one quick glance. The unique movement used by this Bulova model is also 3 time more accurate than your standard quartz movement. This is a great watch to own, and is excellent for practical every day use. Tissot T Classic Tradition Watch
Why not throw a dress watch onto the list! Especially since it’s one darn good looking piece of work. Can’t you just picture your self wearing this with your favourite suit? This is an imported watch, with the classic swiss made quartz movement mechanism powering the hands. I personally find it stunning looking with its minimalist design.
The case is a high polished stainless steel that really does look like real silver. The knobs on the side of the case are well placed and elegant, while the inside of the face maintains a simple look with well crafted pointed hands, and neat indicators. The band is a beautiful calfskin leather. To top it off, this dressy timepiece is water resistant up to 100 feet.

Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre Perpetual Calendar
Another economically friendly watch, no wonder oil stocks are tanking! This watch looks like an Omega, but really its made by Citizen, they just happened to make something quite amazing that many people can afford.
This piece is equipped with a built in retrograde perpetual calendar, alarm, and is capable of holding dual time. My favourite thing about this watch is it’s sleek look, but I also love the fact that it’s powered by light. In fact, Citizen claims that you will never have to replace the batteries on this watch, due to its specially engineered perpetually charging and economically friendly batteries.
Emporio Armani Chronograph
Are you looking for something with a high fashion name? Here’s one you might recognize. It’s not often that these come on the market at a discounted price, but this one seems to be available, although I have no idea for how long. You can practically wear this watch with any outfit, weather your dressed casually and going to the grocery store for a shop, or going out for a night of partying with your friends, you can count on this timepiece to keep you looking fresh.
The Armani Chronograph has a stainless steel case in a rose gold tone, while the band is a stainless steel encased in a black rubber, making for a fabulous contrast. This watch is very comfortable once the size is adjusted properly to your liking. The bezel function is sixed, and the watch is water resistant up to 165 feet.
